Tuesday March 24 Half Moon Cay, Bahamas

Last day of our cruise is topped off by a day at the beautiful Half Moon Cay, a Holland "Private Island".

Easy tender trip over to the island got us there by 10:00. The weather is perfect! We spent the first hour or so lounging on the beach. The water was not particularly warm, but warm enough that I took a short swim so I could say I did. I was a lot warmer than when we were here in January of 2025 (or was it '24?).

For lunch the crew brings the whole BBQ outfit off the boat and sets up shop! We enjoyed salads, chicken, beef ribs, ice cream, the works!

After lunch a stroll along the beautiful white sand beach. But the sun is so strong, we can't take too much! So back to the ship by about 2:30.

Our last dinner in the Dinning Room, saying farewell to our servers Villamore and Jerome. They have been great!

We have to pack up and leave our suitcases out by the door by midnight. Then, if all goes according to plan, we'll leave the ship by 9:30 in the morning and be taken directly to the airport. Our Alaska flight doesn't leave until 4:45, so we should have plenty of time. The TSA folks are still working for free so we may have long waits.

Tuesday March 17th St. Maarten

Got up early today since we had to be ready for our excursion by 8:15. A few showers around made for a good rainbow.   Check this out: there...
